Information flow in LEVEL-UP project

The LEVEL-UP Project aims to offer a scalable platform covering the overall lifecycle, ranging from
the digital twins setup, predictive maintenance, modernization actions to diagnose and predict the
operation of physical assets, to the refurbishment and remanufacturing activities towards the end of
life. One cornerstone of the LEVEL-UP scalable platform is the achievement of interoperability for
sensors and legacy system related data, enabling the information to flow the field, to the cloud
modules in charge of intelligent prognostic and diagnostic actions.

Technical visit of project partner SENSAP at IPC/CRF Pilot line

On November 9th and 10th representatives from Level-Up EU Project partner SENSAP Microsystems visited the IPC Centre Technique Industriel de la Plasturgie et des Composites facilities.
The meeting focused mainly on the pultrusion pilot line activities and the upgarding of the Daedalus system used in it.


AIMEN visit to ISOKON for the integration of the embedded vision system

AIMEN team travelled to ISOKON facilities to proceed with the integration of the embedded vision system for online monitoring and quality inspection of extruded plastic profiles. The system will ensure the quality of the product and improve the condition monitoring of the machine, enhancing optimised maintenance and repair strategies.


LEVEL-UP participation at ETFA conference 2021

On Thursday September 9th Edurne Suarez from AIMEN and Quan Deng from BIBA participated in the special session ‘ Refurbishment and remanufacturing of machinery in CyberPhysical Production Systems’ of the ETFA conference 2021 where they presented 2 papers prepared within the LEVEL-UP project.

INTEGRADDE, Level-Up and DIMOFAC are three European-funded projects which have benefitted from the European Commission’s Horizon Results Booster to carry out joint dissemination activities with the aim of promoting their technology solutions adapted to advanced manufacturing.


Recent advances in the development of digital twins for path accuracy and remaining useful life

Project partner FRAUNHOFER IWU is developing digital twins for path accuracy and remaining useful life to increase the quality and performance of a large industrial lathe of TOSHULIN while decreasing downtimes.
